movies

tomorrow, one of my favorite movies of all time will be on tcm: i married a witch, starring frederic march and the lovely ms. veronica lake.

the film is not yet available on DVD, so this will be a great saturday morning treat. veronica lake is a real charmer in this, and while the film served as the basis for the popular bewitched series, the film has a different premise. and if memory serves, there's friskiness to lake's character in the film that is altogether different. in any case, i'm looking forward to having my memory refreshed tomorrow at 10am.

wallace and gromit the curse of the were-rabbit will be released on dvd, feb 7. that's a must-see.

last night, we watched
the aristocrats. i had read quite a lot about how dirty it is. but i was pretty unprepared for the depth and cope of the dirty-ness. i blushed, i choked on my ginger ale, but it was pretty freaking hilarious. i especially loved taylor negron, hank azaria, mario cantone as liza minnelli, kevin pollack as christopher walken, gilbert gottfried, bob saget, eric mead (i'm a sucker for card tricks to begin with, but his really was fun), and the south park animation.
