fun times fun times

it's been a fun and busy week, and i've barely had time to reflect on all of it. but here are some highlights...

last thursday night, my pals and i lent our support to cousin josie/her boyfriend matt's band, bouva, for their cd release at, at the bitter end. i took lots of photos.

then, i managed to spill my second whisky sour all over my lap and cousin matias' coat. ick.

after the show, we hopped over to dash dogs, a newish, ultra-cool hot dog place near my apartment. (it was featured in a recent nytimes article about late nite eats, specifically, the spate of new hot dog stands on the LES.)

we ordered stoned dogs...hot dogs topped with fritos, chili, cheese, onions, and serrano peppers (okay, my friends chose the serranos for theirs, i enjoyed mine without the crazy heat)...

the dogs were positively amazing. rocking. deelish. all of that.

oh, and i also ordered a hot dog, with just the garlic mayo. simple, but certainly not plain. it was very very tasty.

when i have more time, i will lavish more attention on dash dogs, and the great guys that work there/own the place..but for now, suffice it to say, GO! NOW! QUICK! and say hi to danny, brandon, and steven and anyone else who's workin there.

friday night highlights--diplo at the guggenheim, as part of flavorpill first fridays. how lame is it that i decided to leave my camera at home? so very. tons of people took pictures, so thanks to flickr, you can get some insight. it was pretty fantastic. great music, great art. for 15 dollars, i got to shake it shake it shake it, and see some interesting russian art.

the event was to end at 1am, and we just about went the distance. but just before the bewitching hour, i turned into a starving, cranky hag, so we cabbed it down to pommes frites ...split a large order, with garlic mayo. i ate too much, too fast. no pictures.

then, tums. and sleep sleep sleep.

i deeply regret getting cranky at the end (i apoligized)...everything else was pretty darn wonderful.
